Police: Wanted man captured


ST GEORGE’S, February 29, 2012 - Victor VESPREY, alias “Small”, 32 years old, Fisherman of Marli, St. Patrick & Belle Vue, Petite Martinique has been captured.
VESPREY, wanted for questioning in connection with the death of 25 year-old Devon Chitan of Moyah, St. Andrew, was located by police on Tuesday 28th February, 2012 sometime after 4:00 p.m. in Belmont, Carriacou.
Police mounted a manhunt for VESPREY after he reportedly confessed to killing a man. He is now in police custody assisting with their investigations.
An autopsy will be performed on the body of Chitan on Friday 2nd March, 2012 to determine the cause of death.
Chitan’s partially decomposed body was recovered from the Point Systan beach, L’Esterre, Carriacou at about 4:00 p.m. on Monday 27th February, 2012.
