Escaped convict wanted by Grenada Police

ST GEORGE’S, Grenada, February 6, 2012 – Grenada Police have launched a manhunt for a 29 year-old escaped convict.
Police said that Jexie Anthony Gibbs, who is serving a three-year sentence for dangerous harm, escaped the custody of prison officials on Monday during a visit to the General Hospital.
Here is the text of the Press Release issued by the Royal Grenada Police Force.
Police is seeking the assistance of the general public in locating an escaped prisoner, Jexie Anthony Gibbs, 29 years old, of Fenton Village, Grand Anse, St. George
Jexie escaped from the custody of prison officials during a visit to the General Hospital on Monday 6th February, 2012 at about eleven fifteen this morning.
He was wearing a long brown pants and dark green t-shirt and was last seen running towards the direction of NAWASA Headquarters, Carenage, St. George’s.
He is about 6-feet 3 inches tall, dark in complexion with short black hair.
Jexie is serving a three year sentence for dangerous harm and is currently awaiting trial for possession of ammunition.
Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Jexie Anthony Gibbs is asked to contact Police Control Room at 440 3999, Police Emergency at 911, Crime Stoppers at 444 1958, South St. George Police Station at 444 4454, Criminal Investigations Department at 440 3921 or the nearest police station.
NB:         Jexie may be armed and dangerous and should be approached with caution.
