Six Grenadian athletes are listed in the IAAF Top List


NEW YORK, February 13, 2011 - Six Grenadian athletes are listed in the IAAF Top List of leading performers in the indoor season.
Kirani James (University of Alabama) and Rondell Bartholomew (South Plains College) highlight the top performers among the Grenadian contingent with outstanding leading performances in the 400 metres.
James has the fastest time (45.47) so far this year, albeit on an oversized track while Bartholomew clocked the third fastest time of 45.84 seconds when he finished behind Torrin Lawrence of Georgia at the Tyson Invitational in Arkansas on Friday.
James also has the fastest 200m of 20.58 seconds.
Also listed are Janelle Redhead, Colleen Felix, Randy Lewis and Kurt Felix.
Redhead's 23.75 seconds over the 200m (oversized track); Colleen Felix is listed in the triple jump with 13.45m; Lewis has a mark of 16.23 metres in men's triple jump and Kurt Felix rounds off the performers in the heptathlon with 5,669 points.
South Plains College, anchored by Bartholomew, also has the fastest 4x400m relay time for the year of 3:05.10, but recorded on an oversized track while the women's outfit led by Redhead has a time of 3:37.49.

Coincidentally, the team with the legal time in both men and women categories is Texas A&M, with Grenadian Alleyne Francique as an assistant coach.
The men are listed with the fastest legal of 3:05.99 while the women are 3:30.70.
