GFA and JASON ROBERTS FOUNDATION TO TWIN OPERATIONS IN 2011

ST GEORGE’S, Grenada, February 5, 2011 - Grenada Football Association (GFA) and the Jason Roberts Foundation (JRF) have agreed to combine their efforts to improve the sport in Grenada.
The Jason Roberts Foundation has for the past three years hosted football clinics and competitions aimed at developing basic skills at the youth level.
The GFA President Cheney Joseph and CEO of the Jason Roberts Foundation, Otis Roberts met recently and discussed the development of a grass-roots-type football programme which will focus mainly, on talent identification at an early age.
The Football programme will also train and use local coaches.
The GFA “Seek and Identify” programme is expected to kick-off by March this year when a comprehensive Youth Development Programme designed by GFA Executive Member, Bruce Swan will be unveiled.
The meeting between the GFA President and Mr Roberts pledged to ensure creative and sustainable ways of combining operations to enhance the programmes of the GFA and the Jason Roberts Foundation.
