Both James and Bartholomew powered their way to the final with impressive semifinal races.
James won semifinal one in 47.86 seconds and Bartholomew was third in semifinal three in 48.01 seconds.
The final is scheduled for 7:00 am on Wednesday Eastern Caribbean Time.
Earlier, Melika Lewis finished 6th in Semifinal three of the women’s 100 metres in a time of 12.70 seconds but failed to qualify for the final and Antonia Wilson was unlucky as she missed out on qualifying for the next round of the 1500 metres, finishing 7th in 5:04.56.
Also on Wednesday, James, Bartholomew and Lewis will compete in the preliminary rounds of the 200 metres.
James will run from lane six in Heat one of the men’s 200m at 8:15 am, Bartholomew gets lane seven in Heat six at 8:50 am and Lewis runs out of lane seven of Heat two of the women’s version at 9:19 am.
The two Grenadian swimmers – Sophia Noel and Esau Simpson – will also begin their competition on Wednesday.
