Grenada to host OECS Boxing

The Grenada Amateur Boxing Association (GABA) is preparing to host the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) Boxing Championship next month.
President of GABA, Ralph James said participation is expected from defending champion Dominica, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, along with host Grenada. “We are also hoping that Antigua could join us this year. They’ve expressed an interest and we’ll welcome them back into competition,” James said. He said a committee, headed by Johnson St Louis, has prepared a budget and overseeing the logistics for the hosting of the championship. The government has also given a commitment to support Grenada’s hosting of the championship. Dominica edged Grenada by two points last year to win the championship in St Lucia.
