GEORGE’S, January 27, 2012 - A quantity of items confiscated from inmates at the
Richmond Hill Prison was handed over to the officers of the Criminal
Investigations Department on Thursday 26th January, 2012 by Prison Officials.
According to Prison officials the items were
seized during regular routine searches conducted between a six to eight months
period at the facility.
Amongst the items were one hundred and
seven cellular phones, forty-eight cellular phone batteries, forty-five Digicel
and Lime sim cards, thirty cellular phone chargers, fifty-three cellular phone
parts, one Coby remote control, one AM/FM radio, five cellular phone
headphones, twenty-six pieces of cellular phone chargers and a quantity of
packages containing two pounds five ounces of Cannabis.
