ST GEORGE'S, December 28, 2011 - The ROYAL
GRENADA POLICE FORCE (RGPF) is conducting an investigation into the
circumstances surrounding the arrest and subsequent death of Oscar BARTHOLOMEW,
a 39 years old carpenter of Canada, who resided at La Tante St. David.
The
investigation is being conducted in conjunction with the Office of the Director
of Public Prosecution.
The RGPF wishes to assure the public and the family of the deceased that the investigation will be conducted with alacrity, objectivity and an uncompromising desire to elicit the truth.
The RGPF has had a good record of being impartial in the conduct of similar matters, and have been inclusive, thorough and forthright in its determinations in spite of the fact that the allegations are against members of this institution.
The RGPF wishes to assure the public and the family of the deceased that the investigation will be conducted with alacrity, objectivity and an uncompromising desire to elicit the truth.

resolved to allowing the evidence to determine eventual courses of action that
will be appropriate to the circumstances.
This matter

nature are routinely executed; no exceptions will be made regarding the conduct
of this investigation. The RGPF understands the anxieties and concerns of the
family of the deceased and the public and urges patience as the investigations
progress.
Meanwhile,
senior officers of the Royal Grenada Police Force have officially visited the
relatives and next of kin of the deceased Oscar BARTHOLOMEW to officially
inform them of this unfortunate incident and to extend deepest condolences on
behalf of the Commissioner of Police.

its about time the world see how stupid the police in Grenada can be
they should spend less time drinking rum and more time protecting the people of Grenada.
Grenada needs to change let those police officers know they are not above the law, that's murder!!!! Police needs to get out of them rum shop
Things need to change, this is not a beating this is murder,as a grenadian abroad I think the priminister need to step up, u can't have your police in rum shop when they suppose to be on duty, what kinda thing is this,those officers should not be on the force, they should be fired!!!
For all those who are quick to make statement that is not founded, wait until the investigation is complete. To many time the folks fuzzy make the most noise about stuff like these don't have a clue what they talking about. EX PC 730
that is giving grenada a bad reputation the police are there to protect and serve not to beat and kill innocent people a mother go through pain to give birth to him why why what this sweet little island is coming to i guess once we live grenada and go abroad we cannot come back home for vacation and hug anybody if you beating and kill your own brother what will you do to foreigners

THE POLICE FORCE FINALLY GAVE THEMSELVES ENOUGH ROPE TO HANG THEMSELVES! GOD KNOWS THE TRUTH AND THE TRUTH WILL BE EXPOSED ONCE AND FOR ALL.

I agree with you. Many times people do things and forget that there is a God above who looketh down and see the wickedness that man do but don't worry God will judge all wickedness. I will sorry for what God will do unto all those wicked Police man/men that beat up Mr. Bartholomew. After all you all could have charge the man not beat him to death. Could you imaging the torture this man go through boy i tell you we coming back to the revo days all this that use to go on in those days (history repeating itself) Mr Thomas what you doing we Grenadians calling on you to do something. Man this is a very very bad reputation for Grenada
And mind you this is not the first time the policemen doing this ah tell you long rope for migger goat. what in the dark will come out in the light how long the police force will hide dont worry the truth will and must prevail. THERE IS AN UNSEEING EYE WATCHING THE POLICE FORCE ITS GOD AND HE WILL REVEAL ALL THE SECRETS AND UNDER COVER STUFF YOU GUYS ARE DOING. AND HE WILL JUDGE!!!!!!!!!!
