HILLSBOROUGH, Carriacou, October 28th, 2011 - The first batch of concrete has been poured as work continues on completing
the Dover Hard Court.
This
project was initiated by the community group, Concerned Citizens of the
Northern District over 10 years ago. It is now being completed by the Community
Development Division within the Ministry of Carriacou and Petite Martinique
Affairs.
The
construction of the court is a welcome change for young and avid basketballers,
who now play the sport in the road.
Plans are
already being made for the first basketball game to be played upon completion
of the court.
Meanwhile,
another project of the Community Development Division making steady progress is
the construction of 300ft of concrete road in Petite Carenage.
