Ambassador Cuisia calls on Grenada’s Ambassador to the US


WASHINGTON D.C., October 18, 2011 – The Philippine Embassy in Washington D.C. reported to the Department of Foreign Affairs that Ambassador Jose L. Cuisia, Jr. paid a courtesy call on Grenada’s Ambassador to the United States Gillian M.S. Bristol.
Ambassador Cuisia is also concurrently accredited as ambassador to Grenada.
The two diplomats discussed opportunities to strengthen relations between the Philippines and Grenada.
Ambassador Cuisia also welcomed the assistance offered by Ambassador Bristol, who served for 15 years at the Organization of American States Secretariat, in broadening the Philippines’ engagement with the hemispheric group.
Ambassador Bristol committed to convey to the government of Grenada the Philippines’ request for support for the candidature of Mr. Miriam Defensor Santiago to the International Criminal Court.
