Kirani James wins again!!

Kirani James has now moved to the top of the Diamond points table with 12 points after winning the men's 400m at the DL in Zurich on Thursday. His time of 44.36 is a new National Record beating the previous 44.47 set by Alleyne Francique in Osaka in 2004 and just off the WL time of 44.35 by LaShawn Merritt. Merritt finished 2nd in 44.67, Jermaine Gonzales of Jamaica 3rd in 45.39 and Rondell Bartholomew was 4th in 45.43.

Phenomenal athlete! I will really like to see karani on the inside of Merrit, especially if Merrit goes out hard over the first 200M. In such a scenario you could get a 441 or 44.2 from the your Kirani James.

Zhazu...That is very true.

I am eagerly awaiting the scenario you clearly stated. I believe he will run under 44 secs very soon. It's just amazing how Kirani continues to improve his times as the year progresses and it is late in the season. One would think he should be tired from all the races he has run so far for the year. Obviously, this is not the case!!! He just continues to improve. Ridiculous!!!

I think we have to undersatnd that Kirani is indeed a very intelligent athlete. He has a plan, and he works the plan.

I too believe we may see him under 44 sec's but not before 2012 as it is evident he is working on the mechanics of his races. And maybe this would come just prior to the Olympics. "Why let the cat out the bag so early" may well be his thinking at present.

I think K is a very intelligent athlete. I wish him well in his future endeavours, God bless you always and please continue to be God first in all that you do. He who humbles himself will be exalted by the Lord Almighty.
