Emmy Award-winner Sherri Shepherd described her recent vacation in Grenada as “something
special”.
Ms. Shepherd, who is a co-host of ABC’s The View, shared her experience with her
colleagues and the live audience on Monday.
On the set, she wore a dress made in Grenada and displayed
photographs taken on her one-week stay at the Spice Island Beach Resorts which
included Annadale Waterfall, Grand Anse Beach and Grand Etang.
“Well the lovely ladies from Grenada made me this dress,”
she said in her opening comments on the day-time show. “This is a waterfall in
Grenada and you guys got to go to Grenada because it was really great.”
“I stayed at the most beautiful place at Spice Island St.
George’s and it was just so wonderful and relaxing,” she added.
But it was not the first time a member of the cast has
visited the Spice Isle since Joy Behar, one of the two original co-hosts, also
announced that she has visited the island before.
“The people are beautiful there too, I once was there and I
said to this beautiful woman, you are so pretty and she said, do you want to
come home with me?”
Ms. Shepherd, who was accompanied by her fiancé Sal, also kept
her followers updated via tweeter during her stay in the Spice Isle.
She was awarded the 2010 Superstar Award at The Dusable
Museum of African American History in Chicago and the 2010 BraveHeart Women
Authenticity Award from BraveHeart Women Global Community recognizing her work
as a trailblazer who inspires women and helping to create change in the world.

This is really great for our Tourism.
she stopped in at Art and Soul at Spiceland Mall--very genuine and didn't act like a diva at all.
She's welcome back to Gda anytime!
