ST GEORGE’S, May 8, 2012 - The Immigration and Passport Department of the Royal Grenada Police Force (RGPF) has claimed a personal victory by emerging second place winners in the 2012 United Nations Public Service Award Programme.
The Department placed second from over four hundred participants in the category of “Improving the Delivery of Public Services.”
The UN Public Service Awards is an annual event which promotes the role, professionalism and visibility of public service.
It is the most prestigious international recognition of excellence in public service and rewards the creative achievements and contributions of public service institutions to a more effective and responsive public administration in countries worldwide.
Nominations for the UN awards have to be made by another entity than the institution being nominated.
