2009 Gold Cup Tickets go on sale on Friday

NEW YORK, April 16, 2009 - Tickets for the 2009 CONCACAF Gold Cup™ go on sale to the general public on Friday, 17 April, making available seats for all 25 games in 13 venues from coast-to-coast across the USA.

Fans wishing to purchase tickets may visit www.goldcup.org and click on the city, date or games they want to attend.

Prices start at $20 in some venues and a Family Four Pack option of four tickets at a discount for an upgraded location will be available in all cities except Miami. The USA is the two-time defending champion, after defeating archrival Mexico in a memorable, soldout 2:1 final in Chicago’s Soldier Field in 2007.

The Gold Cup, which has seen record attendances and television ratings in each of the past two competitions (2005 & 2007) will feature CONCACAF’s 12 best national teams for the region’s biennial title, beginning 3 July in Los Angeles and finishing with the championship match at Giants Stadium on 26 July.
